Hi! My name is Charles. I've been working as a organic chemistry tutor for college students in the New York City area for the past 2 years. I've witnessed first-hand how difficult it can be for some human services students. Navigating the bureaucracy of a large public school and handling work and family commitments can add to your stress level. This makes passing organic chemistry, one of the toughest courses you will ever take, a seemingly insurmountable task.

I created this blog to provide you with the support you need. This site will act as a portal to help you organize all the organic chemistry quickly and efficiently. This will allow you to spend less time trudging through hard-to-read textbooks, complicated websites, and disorganized lecture notes.

I also hope to provide the encouragement and moral support you'll need to achieve your goals. The process of tackling this one subject has stretched the patience and academic aptitude of every student who chooses to pursue a career in medicine. Fatigue and a rigorous schedule will overwhelm even the smartest students.

With hard-work, organization, and support most every student can make it through this course.

About Me

First and foremost, I would like to say that I'm dedicated to the holistic enrichment of all my students. I feel it's very important to give them a basic and solid understanding of the subject matter and how it applies directly to their lives. Secondly, I graduated from Princeton University with a BSE in Mechanical Engineering and a Certificate in Theater and Dance. So, as you can probably tell, my teaching style is fairly animated, friendly and energetic while my area of expertise includes high-school/college math: Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Calculus. Over the years, I've volunteered as a tutor for the IRC, worked as an after-school instructor for Mad Science, and taught ESL in Tokyo for 8 months. From these varied experiences, I've learned the winning formula for great tutoring: patience, understanding, creativity, organization, and a strong knowledge of the subject matter. Best wishes!
